WOW, this one draws the attention of even the tired scout. Watch Scouts build their own catapult launcher with just wire! It sure looks easy. Count down begins …. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BOOM!!
Aluminum disks fly into the air. How can this be? The disks are not magnetic!! Would they fly higher if only one launcher was connected to the capacitor source?

 

Warning: This is NOT an experiment to be performed at home. Qualified adult supervision is a must. High voltages can be fatal.
